One of my favorite vintage finds is this slubbed silk sport coat from Burberry. You may be wondering, “What’s a slubbed silk?” and the answer is this… Slubbed fabrics are made with bumps and raised areas in the fabric. You will most often see this in linens and silks. The slubbed fabric lends an air of casual to an outfit while incorporating a unique texture into an ensemble.
It can be difficult to find new slubbed sport coats, however, there is one currently for sale at Mr. Porter. Vintage is often the way to go when looking for this style as you will find many more options available.
For the rest of the outfit I chose to focus on typical Spring colors incorporating a pink dress shirt from Charles Tywrhitt, navy and teal socks from Happy Socks, and a purple and navy pocket square that I picked up somewhere along the way.
Stay true to yourself. Be kind to others. Define your own style.
