Oh come on, I know you remember the ’90s sitcom Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper! No doubt, Mr. Cooper’s style was fresh, however, today I’m going to try to one-up him by hangin’ with another “Mr.”, Mr. Porter. The online men’s department store, Mr. Porter, has become the place to shop online for high-end brands. For this post I put together a colorful outfit and I will walk you through the decisions for choosing each piece. 
Mr. Cooper sporting a sweet 90s tie and retina-killing bright blue suit (kids don’t try this at home).
Ray-Ban Mirrored Sunglasses

The base color for this outfit is blue. I’ve included these mirrored shades because of their blue lenses, keeping the color running from head to toe. The same could have been accomplished using a light blue straw hat as well. Acquire here

The lighter than navy shade and patch pockets allows us more freedom to make this outfit casual while still maintaining an air of formality. Acquire here
Drake’s Red Silk Pocket Square

We will keep the colors in this outfit in shades of primary and secondary colors. Doing so will add playfulness and create strong contrast between the pieces. There’s another reason, you’ll soon see, that I chose this bright red pocket square. Acquire here
Canali White Slim Fit Shirt

Too many colors would quickly become hectic and wearing a light blue shirt would saturate the outfit with too much of one color, so we’ll keep the shirt white and let the polka dots on the pocket square subtly pull the shirt into the outfit. Acquire here
Drake’s Green Knitted Cotton Tie

This piece is meant to stand out the most out of any other in this ensemble. The reason is we’re having fun and want to be noticed. Advertising artists and photographers use visual details to keep your eyes on the ad as long as possible. One of these techniques is pulling your attention to the center of the ad. Incotex Cotton Blend Chinos

I’ve mentioned the base color for this outfit is blue, which is why these were chosen. Another reason is that they are cotton chinos, which helps to keep the outfit casual. When wearing chinos with a blazer or sport coat make sure they are not loose-fitting. Loose pants will ruin the silhouette of your outfit if the jacket you’re wearing fits close to your body. Your outfit says casual, now your feet will say comfortable. Driving shoes are typically one of the softest shoes to wear. If you have never worn a good pair of driving shoes I strongly suggest you take a pair for a spin. The suede here was chosen again, specifically for its casual feel. Acquire here
In the end, I think Mr. Porter out-dressed Mr. Cooper by a hair. If I can find the pictures, soon I’ll place Mr. Cooper’s style head-to-head versus Mr. Port-au-Prince, a black market smuggler I ran into in Haiti.
